R. Wayne Oldham, age 68 of Clarksville, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Tennova Healthcare.

A Celebration of Life was held at 1 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2017 at First Baptist Church with Carolyn Riggins, Curtis Johnson, and Gregory Smith speaking.

Visitation was from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Friday at the church.

Wayne was born on January 31, 1949 in Montgomery County, the son of the late Wilburn and Nora Russell Oldham. He was a graduate of Clarksville High School, 1967 and Austin Peay State University and a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity.

Wayne was a dedicated, tireless Republican in Tennessee, a true Patriot and warrior in the GOP cause. Wayne Oldham started serving on the State Executive Committee (SEC) at age 29 and served for 39 years, serving as the longest-serving member of the Republican State Executive Committee.
