Information for Candidates Sponsoring Tables

On behalf of the Executive Committee of the Montgomery County Republican Party, we want to thank you for your interest in our 2020 Lincoln Reagan Day Dinner.   That is scheduled to be held on June 26, 2020 at the Wilma Rudolph Events Center in Clarksville; that is still going to happen!

However, due to the COVID issue, there are some changes in our event this year that will require your participation in a different manner.   Instead of having a formal sit-down dinner, we are going to be compelled to do things a little different in order to accommodate such requirements as social distancing and other changes in our normal practices.  We have talked with our caterer/party planner and have come up with the following.

  • Our guests will be provided with a “box meal”, with our same menu, that will be prepared in some very nice take-home, sterile “Tupperware”-like containers.  They will come to the event center between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm to pick that meal up, along with an Event Program and other hand-outs.​

  • We will also have our silent auction items displayed with bid sheets and hope that our guests will take the opportunity, as they come through to pick up the meal(s) and meet the candidates, to look at the display and make a bid on one of these very special items; additionally, we will most likely have a slideshow of the items posted on the website and social media as well.  Our ladies’ have taken a great deal of time and worked very hard to offer an exciting and unique selection.   This will also provide some additional funds for our work in supporting our Republican candidates.

Candidate Booths

  • We want our candidates to have the opportunity to meet with as many people as possible and since we will not be having a speaker and formal program . . . 

 

  • We felt it would be beneficial for each candidate to have a booth space with materials and a place to meet and talk with guests as they arrive to pick up their meal. 

    • 10 x 10 U-shape space

    • 1 table -- either 8' or high-top

    • Clips to hang items

    • Display items

    • 3' wide sides and 8' tall w/black back

    • These are Convention Style booths

 

  • You might want to provide some materials, also, to put in the guests’ take-home bag.  This will provide some additional information for them to peruse as they enjoy their meal at home. 

 

  • Since we will also have access to the overhead audio-visual equipment, we are considering the possibility of running videos on a loop throughout the evening as guests come in for pickup.  Therefore, if you want to send one of your own, we will be glad to include that in the overhead.  It should be no longer than two (2) minutes, however. 

 

You will most likely want to plan to attend the entire time so that you can meet as many people as possible. 

 

I hope that this will work out well for you and that you will still want to participate in our event.   We regret that things are not going to be as they normally are, but this was totally unavoidable.   This will, however, still be a great opportunity for you to meet many of our Montgomery County Republican donors.
